运笔的快慢、提按、转折、顺逆、虚实都是由用笔的节奏变化产生的,在节奏变化中最明显与最重要的是快慢的变化。

指行笔过程中上下左右前进速度的急缓,即行笔的快慢。快则流,慢则留;快则光,慢则涩;快易飘逸,慢易拙涩。

中国画通过墨的干、湿、浓、淡、清来体现物象的远近、凹凸、明暗、阴阳、燥润和滑涩。墨分五色:清、淡、浓、重、焦,而决定这五种墨色的关键是墨中水的比例。本节将详细介绍墨色的调和方法。
1.2.1 墨分五色
“墨分五色”更多的是讨论墨色的深浅,常常指“焦、浓、重、淡、清”。焦墨是半干的墨汁,乌黑而有光泽;浓墨是深黑的墨汁,加了水分而不显光泽;重墨含水比浓墨多,色相稍浅;淡墨的含水量较多,色相更浅;清墨只有极淡的墨迹,甚至全是水。

4.浓墨。需要多蘸墨汁,再在盘中调和,墨色便愈来愈浓重。
1.2.3 墨法
墨有破墨、积墨、泼墨、宿墨、浓墨之法。墨之韵味与节奏可产生淡雅、沉厚、丰富、淋漓、滋润等各种不同的艺术趣味,并以此表现物象的某些形体与质感、意境与情趣。用墨的诀窍是在变化中求统一,这种变化可以是各种墨色之间的对比,也可以是墨色本身的韵律感、丰富感、肌理感,因而用墨一般有两种倾向,一种是对比中求统一,另一种是统一里求变化。
破墨法
破墨法是指在作画时,趁前面的墨迹还没有干的时候,接着又画上一层墨色,使画面中的水墨达到相互融和的效果,墨法中最常用的是破墨法。由于生宣纸的渗化性与排斥性,水分的含量及落笔的先后不同,可使浓淡之墨在交融或重叠时产生复杂的艺术趣味。

积墨法是指各种不同墨色、不同笔触在不断交错重叠后产生的特殊艺术效果,给人以浑朴、丰富、厚实之感。积累时每一层次的笔触的复叠,一般在前一层次的笔触干时才进行,而笔触的相叠必须既具形式感又能表现物象。

宿墨法
宿墨即隔宿之墨,墨汁存放时间较久,水分蒸发而浓缩,墨色最黑。宿墨常用于最后一道墨,用得好能起到“画龙点睛”的作用;但因宿墨中有渣滓析出,用不好极易枯硬污浊,故用宿墨要求具有较高的笔墨功夫。黄宾虹最善用宿墨,每于画面浓墨之处点之以宿墨,使墨中更黑,黑中见亮,加强了黑白对比,使画面更加神采焕发。

以浓墨法描绘物象,落墨较重,可使画面厚重有神。用浓墨要“薄”,即笔法灵活。只有干、湿、深、浅变化有致,才能浓而不凝滞。

国画颜料的特性
植物性颜料的透明感强,可以相互调和使用,但其覆盖力弱,色质不稳定,容易褪色。矿物质颜料透明感弱,但覆盖力强,色质稳定,不易褪色。
1.3.2 色墨结合
颜料和水墨相结合,会出现新的色值和特有的韵律。这里介绍几种主要颜色与墨混合的效果。
